Kirytopoulos Konstantinos

kyritopoulosDr Konstantinos A. Kirytopoulos is working as an Assosciate Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering - National Technical University of Athens (Sector of Industrial Management and Operational Research). He holds a PhD on Project Risk Management attained at the National Technical University of Athens (2003) and a Mechanical Engineering Diploma (5 year studies) attained at the same University (1999). He is also holding the business certification PMP® from the Project Management Institute, USA.

He is working and conducts research mainly in Project Management, Risk Management, Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) and Road Tunnel Risk Analysis. In the past he has been working as an Assistant Professor at the Financial and Management Engineering Dept. at the University of the Aegean (Greece). Apart from the Academia, he has delivered in-house lectures to middle and senior management staff and has worked as a free-lance consultant. He has been involved in research and business projects, related to his interests and he is publishing research outcomes in international scientific conferences and journals.

He serves as General Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Institute of Production and Operations' Management (Hellenic Management Association) and representative-subject matter expert of ELOT/Greece at ISO TC 258 Project, programme and portfolio management and ISO TC236 for the development of ISO21500 Project Management Standard. In the past he served as member of the Internal Reviewer Committee – responsible for Risk Management - ANSI PMBOK 5th ed, Project Management Institute and Risk SIG Liaison in Greece.

His main goal is to diffuse Project and Risk Management disciplines, as well as inspire people to use them, not only in order to achieve business but also their personal goals.
